A sled test facility for simulating vehicle accelerations during braking, accelerating and cornering by means of servo-control and programmable acceleration profiles. A moving platform of maximum 300 kg has up to 5.5 m long stroke, 0.6 g peak acceleration can be applied. The platform design can be adjusted for various types of road users (seated occupants in cars, standing occupants in public transportation vehicles, etc.), enabling laboratory testing of the human-body dynamic response in different loading conditions, while meeting safety requirements for volunteers and staff. Measuring equipment for motion capture and other parameters can be installed (high-speed cameras, wearable sensors, force plate, EMG, etc.).
