Highlights:

• Blast response analyses of LAVs with flat and V-shaped hull floors were performed.
• A combined Smooth Particle Hydrodynamics – Finite Element (SPH-FE) model was used.
• Effective blast wave dispersion was observed using the V-shape hull floor.
• Local, as well as global vehicle response, is improved using V-shape hull floor.
